Sadaqah — Giving from the Heart, for the Pleasure of Allah The word Sadaqah comes from sidq — sincerity and truth. It is a charity given purely for the sake of Allah ﷻ, reflecting the truth of one’s faith. Allah سبحانه وتعالى says in the Qur’an: “The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed which grows seven ears; in every ear is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies for whom He wills.” — (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:261) Sadaqah is not measured by how much we give, but by the sincerity behind it. From Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (عليه السلام): “The best charity is that which is given from what you need yourself.” — (Nahj al-Balagha) And from Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq (عليه السلام): “Charity given in secret extinguishes the غضب (anger) of Allah.” Sadaqah has no minimum and no restriction — it is open to every believer, at every stage of life. Whether small or large, every act of giving carries immense value in the sight of Allah. Through Sadaqah, not only are the needs of the poor fulfilled, but the giver’s wealth is purified and their heart is softened. At Al Sajjadha Trust, your Sadaqah reaches the poor, the orphaned, and families facing hardship — especially in remote and underserved communities, where even a small contribution can bring relief, dignity, and hope.
